Chiller unit phase sequence fault

Image Name

The unit is equipped with a phase sequence detection function. For new units, the first time they are installed and used, a phase sequence detection will be performed upon initial startup. If a phase sequence alarm occurs, the unit cannot be started. It is necessary to measure the phase voltage. The voltage fluctuation range is ±5% of the normal voltage. If the phase voltage fluctuation is not large, consider changing the power supply phase sequence, measure whether the three-phase voltage is normal, and then restart to resolve this issue.

Chiller water level fault

Image Name

The unit's built-in stainless steel water tank (excluding units without a built-in water tank) comes standard with an electronic liquid level sensor and a float switch. When the water level falls below the low-level line, the unit will issue a low-level alarm. At this time, check:
1. Whether the water level in the tank is insufficient, below the low-level line.
2. Check if the float switch float is abnormal and unable to float, causing an alarm.
3. Whether the liquid level switch is damaged or malfunctioning.

Chilled water flow failure in the chiller unit

Image Name

If a water flow fault occurs during the initial startup of the unit, it is usually because the water circuit is not circulating, causing an abnormal water flow detection. Therefore, before the initial startup of the unit, the unit's water pump and connecting pipes must be drained. After the water tank is filled, start the unit and run it until the unit's water circuit is circulating. At the same time, check whether the target flow switch is damaged.

High-pressure alarm for chiller compressor

Image Name

When encountering a high-pressure alarm on the compressor unit, check the following:
1. Check if the unit fan is running normally; replace it immediately if damaged.
2. Check the degree of fouling of the fin condenser and clean it in time.
3. Check if the ventilation and heat dissipation conditions at the equipment location meet the operating requirements.
If the above checks still cannot eliminate the fault, please call our after-sales service personnel in time.

Chiller unit compressor low pressure alarm

Image Name

When encountering a low-pressure alarm on the compressor unit, the following should be checked:
1. Check the unit's pressure gauge. Combine the pressure gauge reading with the current water temperature to determine if there is a refrigerant leak.
2. Check if the unit's circulating water volume is too low, or if there is a blockage in the water line.
3. Check if the unit's expansion valve throttling is abnormal.
4. Check for a temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the dryer filter.

Chiller compressor overload alarm

Image Name

Compressor units typically have thermal overload relays. An alarm will sound if the compressor's operating current exceeds the relay's set protection value.
1. Check if the unit's high-pressure value is abnormally high.
2. Check for unusual noises or vibrations during compressor operation.
3. Check for damage to the compressor motor windings.
4. Check if the compressor bearings are seized.
5. Check if there is a phase loss in the AC contactor.
